Privacy Policy

Last updated 27 October 2026

The short version

  • No accounts, no ads, no cookies, and we never sell or share personal data.
  • Almost every tool runs entirely in your browser. Only the DNS lookup, WHOIS lookup and HTTP status checker send what you type to our server.
  • Visits are counted with cookieless analytics that store nothing identifying you.

Who is responsible

Devkult (www.devkult.com) is run by an independent developer, who is responsible for the data described here. For anything about privacy, write to support@devkult.com.

What we process and why

Hosting logs

Our host, Vercel, processes the technical data every website receives — IP address, browser user agent, the page requested and the time — to deliver pages and protect the site from abuse. That's our legitimate interest in running a secure website. Vercel keeps these logs only for a limited period under its own retention policy.

Visit statistics

We count visits with Vercel Web Analytics: the page viewed, the site that linked to it, your country, and your device type, operating system and browser. It sets no cookies and stores no IP addresses. A visit is recognised by a hash of the request that is discarded after 24 hours, so we only ever see aggregated numbers. That's our legitimate interest in knowing which pages are useful.

Network tools

The DNS lookup, WHOIS lookup and HTTP status checker send the domain or URL you enter to our server, which queries DNS, the domain registry's RDAP service (found through IANA), or the URL itself, and returns the result. Those services see a request from our server, not from your device. We don't store what you look up. If a lookup fails, the error, which can include the domain, may appear briefly in the hosting logs. The legal basis is providing the service you asked for.

Email

If you write to support@devkult.com, we use your address and message only to reply, and delete them once they're no longer needed, at most two years later.

Stored on your device

Your theme preference is kept in your browser's local storage, and pages you've visited may be cached by the site's service worker so they work offline. Neither leaves your device, and you can clear both in your browser settings.

Who receives data

Vercel Inc. hosts the site and runs the analytics, and may process data in the United States. Transfers from the EU, EEA, UK and Switzerland rely on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework (with its UK and Swiss extensions) or on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses. We don't share personal data with anyone else unless the law requires it, and no third party collects data about your activity across other websites through Devkult. Because nothing tracks you, there's nothing for a browser's Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control setting to switch off: every visitor is treated the same way.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you can ask to access, correct or delete your personal data, restrict or object to its processing, or receive it in a portable format. Under Israel's Privacy Protection Law you can review the data held about you and ask for it to be corrected. Write to support@devkult.com; we reply within one month. As we store no identifiers, we usually hold nothing we can link to you.

You can also complain to a data protection authority: in the EU or EEA the authority where you live or work, in the UK the Information Commissioner's Office, in Switzerland the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner, and in Israel the Privacy Protection Authority.

Children

Devkult isn't aimed at children under 16, and we don't knowingly collect their personal data.

Changes

If what we process changes, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
